Getting Started

Welcome to Pack 88!

Welcome to the start of your journey in Scouting.

Parents' Role

A Scout's parents or caregivers are an essential part of the scouting experience. They are expected to help with the Scout's growth and development by helping them to complete activities and to support their participation in the Pack outdoor activities like hikes and campouts. All of our leaders are parents just like you, so we also need your help with the Pack events and organization! Please talk to any leader to discuss ways that you can help make Pack 88 great for our Scouts.

FAQ

Do I have to attend every meeting?

We know that Scouts have other things going on, and may miss meetings from time to time. However, it's hard for Den leaders to keep track of exactly which meetings or activities your scout missed, so this is where you can use the Den handbook to work on the missed activities at home. Please contact your Den leader to work it out.

How much does it cost?

Dues are about $ per year, plus the cost of the Scout uniform and den handbook. The dues pay for all patches/awards, neckerchief & slide.

Is there financial assistance?

Our Pack welcomes all potential Scouts.  If the dues are difficult for you, please contact the treasurer or CubMaster to see if your dues can be waived.  We also usually have uniforms available from Cubs who have grown out of theirs!
